Hindu LIVE is a committed adherent to the DNPA Code of Ethics, which sets the highest standards for digital news publishing in India. This code is designed to promote responsible journalism, protect user privacy, and combat misinformation. Below are the key principles we follow:
1. Accuracy & Fairness
We shall not publish any content that is knowingly false or distorts facts. We differentiate between news, opinion, and advertising clearly. When reporting on individuals or organizations, we give them a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication.
2. Privacy & Dignity
We respect the privacy of individuals, particularly:
- Victims of sexual assault (names withheld unless publicly revealed by court).
- Accused persons before formal charges are filed.
- Minors involved in legal or social controversies.
- Public figures’ private lives when not in public interest.
3. Prohibition of Hate Speech & Incitement
Hindu LIVE strictly prohibits content that:
- Promotes violence, discrimination, or hostility based on religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.
- Incites public disorder or defames any community.
- Violates Indian laws including Section 153A, 295A, 505 of IPC and IT Rules 2021.
User comments violating this are removed, and repeat offenders are banned.
4. Grievance Redressal Mechanism (As per IT Rules 2021 & DPDP Act 2026)
We have appointed a Grievance Officer as mandated by DNPA and Indian law:
Name: Deepak Panwar
Email: grievance@hindulive.com
Response Time: Acknowledgment within 24 hours, resolution within 15 days.
5. Corrections & Apologies
When we publish an error that materially affects the understanding of a news story, we publish a prompt correction, clarification, or apology as appropriate. The correction is also highlighted on our homepage for at least 48 hours.
6. Financial Transparency
We disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including:
- Ownership structure (ownership details available on request).
- Sources of funding (advertising, affiliate, subscriptions).
- Any government or political advertising.
7. Protection of News Sources
We will never reveal confidential sources of information, even under legal pressure, except where a court of law orders disclosure after balancing public interest. Journalists have the right to protect their source materials.
8. Content Moderation (User Comments)
We moderate user comments in accordance with DNPA guidelines:
- No comments that are defamatory, obscene, or abusive.
- No spam or repeated identical comments.
- No impersonation of public figures or other users.
- We use both automated filters and human moderation.
9. Misinformation & Deepfakes (2026 Update)
We actively label or remove detected synthetic media (deepfakes, AI-generated impersonations) unless clearly labeled as synthetic art or satire. We participate in cross-platform fact-checking networks.
10. Compliance & Training
All editorial staff receive annual training on the DNPA Code of Ethics. Violations are subject to disciplinary action, up to dismissal.
Complaints regarding DNPA Code violations: ethics@hindulive.com or to the DNPA self-regulatory body.
